Jun ware is the core of it

Most of these pieces are Jun ware (钧瓷): porcelain whose glaze is left to change colour in the kiln rather than being painted beforehand. Potters call the effect 窑变, kiln transmutation, and it is why no two pieces match. Browse them in Jun porcelain from Shenhou, split into teaware and art and collectibles.

A few cups, teapots and one tea set are finished in Ru, Ge, Guan, blue-and-white or celadon glaze styles instead. Those are Song kilns whose glazes this workshop imitates; the pieces themselves are made at Shenhou, and each listing says which style it follows.

Before you order

Glaze colour and pattern will differ from the photographs. Every listing states only the measurements and capacities the maker supplied, and says plainly where a size, a set count or a per-style price is not yet established.
