Authentic Anxi Tie Guan Yin – Preserving True Oolong Heritage

Handcrafted in Anxi, Fujian, using traditional techniques and authentic red-heart varietals, this tea offers a timeless Tie Guan Yin experience.

Why Choose This Tie Guan Yin?

Among oolongs, Tie Guan Yin reigns supreme. This edition, sourced from core-producing Xiping, Anxi, revives the golden age of oolong through time-honored methods. Made exclusively with red-heart varietals and full stems, it brings back the full-bodied essence that once defined true Tie Guan Yin.

Two Flavor Types, One Heritage

  • Floral Type: Pure orchid aroma, crisp and refreshing like a spring mountain stream. Sweet and bright in taste, perfect for gentle sipping.
  • Toasty Type: Deep, warm notes of charred sugar and roasted rice. Full-bodied, rich, and long-lasting on the palate.

Traditional 10-Step Processing

This tea undergoes a rigorous 10-step process, including wilting, bruising, pan-firing, roasting, and wrapping, all to preserve the richness of its stem-included form. These steps are performed by hand in small batches to ensure every leaf is perfectly treated.

Flavor Profile

  • Type: Semi-oxidized oolong (with stems)
  • Aroma: Orchid floral / Roasted caramel, depending on version
  • Taste: Sweet, smooth, full-bodied, long aftertaste
  • Origin: Xiping, Anxi, Fujian, China
  • Year: Spring 2025
  • Storage: Store sealed, dry, away from light

Brewing Guide

Recommended Brewing (Gaiwan Style)

  • Teaware: Gaiwan (100–120 ml)
  • Tea Amount: 7g
  • Water Temp: 100°C (boiling)
  • Brewing Tips:
    1. Warm the gaiwan with 1/3 hot water, swirl, and discard.
    2. Quickly rinse the tea once (pour in and out immediately).
    3. Infuse with boiling water using high pour. Steep 5–10s for first 3 brews, gradually increase time afterward.
    4. Pour into small cups, fill 70% full each time.

Legacy You Can Taste

This Tie Guan Yin is more than just tea—it's a tribute to heritage, integrity, and depth of flavor. Whether you prefer a gentle floral experience or a deep roasted kick, both bring forward the soul of real Tie Guan Yin.

Before you buy

Before you buy this gaiwan

A gaiwan is one of the most direct Gongfu brewing vessels. It works best if you want clear leaf control, open aroma, and a very readable brew.

Good fit if

You want one neutral vessel for several tea styles and more control over leaf opening and steep timing.

Check

Capacity, wall thickness, bowl shape, lid grip, and whether porcelain, glass, or clay suits your tea habits.

How to use

Start with smaller leaf amounts, hold the lid slightly open, and pour into a fairness pitcher or cups with a steady hand.

Care

Rinse after each session. Porcelain and glazed gaiwans are usually the easiest to keep neutral and clean.
