How the travel teapot works

Add leaves to the pot, fill with hot water and cover. The built-in strainer holds back the leaves as you pour, so you do not need a separate filter. After brewing, the cups stack and the set packs back into its case. Fine holes in the lid filter out leaves as you pour, and the rounded cup rims are comfortable to drink from.

What is coarse stoneware?

Coarse pottery (cu tao) is made from a clay body with more sand and iron than fine porcelain. It feels slightly gritty in the hand and has a quiet, earthy look. The bases are left unglazed, which is normal for this style. It is well suited to roasted oolong, dark tea and black tea.
