Origin & Aroma
Rougui, meaning “cassia bark” in Chinese, earns its name from its naturally sweet, cinnamon-like aroma. Grown in the rocky crevices of Wuyi Mountain—a UNESCO World Heritage site—this tea thrives in mineral-rich soil and misty air, absorbing the essence of the mountain itself.

This Rougui is produced using the traditional charcoal roasting method—meticulously dried and roasted over time to bring out its signature depth and stability in flavor. The leaves are handpicked and processed in small batches to ensure consistency.
Brewing Guide
Recommended Brewing (Gaiwan)
- Tea Amount: 8.3g
- Water Volume: 120ml
- Water Temperature: 100°C
- Warm the cup: Pour hot water 1/3 full into the gaiwan, swirl gently, then discard.
- Rinse the tea: Add tea leaves, pour water, and immediately pour out the rinse.
- Steep: Use a high pour to release aroma. First 3 steeps: flash infusions; later steeps: increase steeping time gradually.
- Serve: Pour into small cups. Fill to 70% for optimal appreciation of aroma and flavor.
